For this collection, my inspiration comes from the question: What is love? To me, love and a heart are complicated subjects. This collection portrays all the complicated facets of love, like various diamond cuts. This collection showcases mother of pearl being transformed into 3 different diamond cuts including diamond cut, shield cut, and pear cut combining x signature lines and Matara diamond.
For his third collection, Pawat wants to explore two concepts: asymmetry and balance through geometric shapes. The past two collections are very much about symmetry and perfection. Pawat wants to take the opposite approach and more abstract concepts for this collection. This collection is inspired by Piet Mondrian’s artworks, who was known for using combinations of straight lines, right angles, primary colors, and juxtaposed elements.
Balance in Distortion Collection uses two approaches to design: constructing and deconstructing using the grid system Pawat designed inspired by Piet Mondrian. This collection still has Pawat’s signature styles including geometric lines and various juxtaposed elements such as colors, textures and negative space.
